Reflecting on Sunday’s Sermon

Good morning Valley View Baptist,

I am thankful for the encouragement that I have received from Valley View after my sermon Sunday. We need the Holy Spirit to bring about conviction for our sins. We are often under the impression that as we get older, that sin will become less of an issue. In a way, it does, as we grow in Christ, we notice how God begins to rescue us from certain addictions/struggles that we have had in the past. However, at the same time, we also become more aware of other sins in our lives that we need to repent from. Following after Christ is truly a daily task, daily we need to depend on Him, and daily we need to repent from sins that He reveals to us.

In Luke 19, the tax collector, an outcast to those around him, but a man in need of divine intervention from Christ. There is hope for those that are in Christ. Never stop praying for those around you who do not know Christ. Be the light of Christ to those who are outcast in your group. Remember that in order to reflect Christ, we must first be spending time with Him ourselves. We draw from the strength of the Holy Spirit when we spend time in prayer, read the scriptures, and take steps of faith and engage those around us. You will never become good at sharing Christ with others if you never practice.

Praying for you always, and always here to serve you. Praying for your boldness!

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance.

Bro. Jason
