There is only one man who was ever perfect, and that was
Jesus. You and I, we make mistakes, we say things we don’t mean. We do things
that we really don’t want to do. We find it easy to blame others for our own
mistakes. We might get upset when we don’t get our way. No one has ever thanked
God for the construction zone on I-20 (or at least not that I know of). This is
part of being human, we live in a broken world, full of other broken people
just like us. The truth is, we cannot get to the good news of Jesus, till we
address the bad news of sin.
Jesus brings healing, comfort, peace, joy. “Come to me all
who are weary.” Jesus took care of the biggest problem that we had (disconnect
between us and God). Even though we are redeemed, we are still flawed.
Sometimes when we sin, there is earthly consequences. The good news for the
redeemed is that our sin was paid for on the cross by Jesus Christ. While we
still make mistakes, we can walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and live a
life that is more pleasing to God.
Today, Let us thank God for showing us mercy, and ask Him
how we can show His mercy to others that we interact with.
I’m praying today for your life to be a reflection of God’s
